Jerroms expands following merger with corporate finance business

Solihull-based accountants and business advisers Jerroms has merged with Blue Sky Corporate Finance, a financial management advisory firm based in Birmingham. The deal has further expanded the Jerroms Group’s services, which already include accountancy, business advice, financial planning, mortgages and access to commercial finance.

Blue Sky, founded in 1998, specialises in providing corporate finance, due diligence, accountancy and consultancy services to small to medium sized businesses across a wide range of sectors, from offices in central Birmingham and Bromsgrove. The merger, which was completed on 1 October 2019 by Hawkins Hatton and The Wilkes Partnership, will enhance the existing services provided by the Jerroms Group, while also incorporating the added expertise of a corporate finance division. This will be rebranded as Jerroms Corporate Finance and will operate from the Jerroms Headquarters in Blythe Valley Park, with the Blue Sky accountancy services relocating to the Jerroms office in Bromsgrove.

The merger forms part of Jerroms’ expansion strategy and comes just months after the additions of Jerroms Mortgage & Finance and Jerroms Financial Planning to the group, which provide specialist advice on raising finance and wealth and investment planning respectively. 

Jerroms Director Lucas Markou said: “We work with thousands of companies, many of which are growing businesses that need access to a full array of financial services. We are always looking for opportunities to widen the group’s capabilities and our merger with Blue Sky will take us one step further in being able to achieve our aim.

“We have always been able to provide support with corporate finance, advising and assisting clients with business transactions such as Management Buy-Outs (MBOs) and Management Buy-Ins (MBIs) through partner organisations, but we have wanted to bring these services into the Jerroms Group for some time. We can now offer a full suite of corporate finance services in-house through our own team of experienced specialists, complementing the recent additions of Jerroms Mortgage & Finance and Jerroms Financial Planning.”

Alongside Jerroms Directors Lucas Markou and Mark Eden, Jerroms Corporate Finance will be headed up by Paul Heaven, the former managing director of Blue Sky.
